There are two main manufacturing processes for forged rings. One is seamless rolled ring forging, which is suitable for the rings with large quantities. Another is free forging, the rings with small inner holes, high heights or too few quantities to be suitable for this forging method in general.
The advantages and disadvantages of the two forging processes:
1. Machining Allowances Control: Seamless rolled ring forgings generally have moderate allowances and excellent roundness, making them easier to cut on CNC lathes. Free-forged rings generally have larger machining allowances and poorer roundness. Free-forged rings generally require rough turning on a conventional lathe at first machining step.
2. Forging Efficiency: Seamless rolled ring forgings offer high efficiency and high output, while free-forgings offer lower efficiency, slow forging speeds, and low output.
3. Processing Flexibility: Free-forgings do not require dies, and some require only simple dies, thus offering greater processing flexibility.
Our strength: The company has its own machining workshop, capable of completing various machining operations, including CNC turning, milling, drilling, grinding and others according to the drawings, supply the complete finished or semi-finished products.
